JSC "KazTransOil" established excessive requirements during tenders for 13 billion tenge

The Main Transport Prosecutor's Office in the activities of KazTransOil JSC revealed facts on artificially limiting the range of potential suppliers by establishing excessive qualification requirements.
Thus, the Company planned to purchase vehicle rental services for a total amount of 12.8 billion tenge by means of an open tender.
At the same time, diplomas in the specialty "road inspector/technician/mechanical engineer" were required to confirm the qualification, which went beyond the subject of the car rental tender.
The same situation arose when purchasing services for the maintenance of the administrative building of the National Oil Transportation Operator for 460 million tenge.
According to the tender documentation, the entrepreneur had to confirm the existence of a license for security activities and provide permits for sorting and destruction of waste.
Due to the violation of the principles of fair competition under the act of the Prosecutor's Office, the above tenders were canceled.
