On March 31 of this year, large facilities in the cities of Nur-Sultan and Almaty received messages of terrorist content about a bomb planted by e-mail.
No explosive devices were found by a special event.
A similar mailing list was made by a resident of the city of Zhitikar, Kostanay region, citizen "T", born in 1986, working as an IT specialist.
The motive for committing such an act was a long-term domestic conflict that arose against the background of constant violation of silence by neighbors.
Out of a sense of revenge, a criminal intention arose to frame a neighbor for committing a crime under Article 273 of the Criminal Code (knowingly false reporting of an act of terrorism) by creating an e-mail and sending letters about an explosive device on behalf of a neighbor.
As a rule, in such cases, an inspection begins with the use of search dogs and special equipment, the building is cordoned off, visitors and staff are evacuated, transport infrastructure is suspended, flight schedules are moved, etc.
As a result, all this leads to negative and costly consequences.
On June 7 of this year, the Aviation Transport Prosecutor's Office of Nur-Sultan sent a criminal case against a "false terrorist" with an indictment to the court.
The sanction for this type of criminal act provides for imprisonment for up to five years.
On July 1 of this year, the court found citizen "T" guilty under Article 273 of the Criminal Code with a sentence of imprisonment for a period of 1 year and 6 months (the sentence did not enter into force).
It should be noted that citizen "T" during the pre-trial investigation compensated the damage caused to the state in the amount of 1.6 million tenge.
We remind you that a deliberately false report of an act of terrorism not only paralyzes the normal activities of institutions, distracts the forces of law enforcement agencies and services designed to provide assistance in extreme situations, but also often entails economic damage associated with the shutdown of production, shopping centers, transport.
