"Illegal use of an expensive car has been stopped in Atyrau"

Atyrau Transport Prosecutor's Office conducted an analysis of compliance with the rule of law when temporarily importing vehicles for personal use by foreign individuals to the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union.

During the analysis, the fact of illegal state registration without payment of customs duties of a Toyota land cruiser imported from Georgia was established.

On the basis of an act of the transport prosecutor's office, the regional Police Department filed a claim to the city court, according to the results of which the owner of the car paid customs duty and a fine in the amount of about 8 million tenge in favor of the state.
