Reduced tariffs for the use of access roads

The East Kazakhstan Transport Prosecutor's Office has revealed the facts of unjustified overestimation of tariffs for the use of access roads by entrepreneurs during the railway transportation of goods.
According to the Law "On Natural Monopolies", in the absence of a competitive access road, the owner of the road providing services for its provision is obliged to apply to the authorized body with an application for inclusion in the State Register of Subjects of natural Monopolies.
However, "TABYS TRADE" LLP, being the owner of railway connecting tracks, was not included in the register of natural monopolies and charged an inflated fee from contractors for travel along its tracks.
By the measures taken by the prosecutor's office, this organization is included in the state register of subjects of natural monopolies.
The Department of the Committee for Regulation of Natural Monopolies of the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the East Kazakhstan region has reduced the tariff of TABYS TRADE LLP for the use of access roads by 16.3 %.
Thus, transport prosecutors have protected the rights of 18 business entities that have been making payments at unreasonably inflated tariffs for 2 years. The amount of the overpayment was recalculated with these entrepreneurs.
