Transport prosecutors reduced the tariffs of monopolists

The Semirechensk transport Prosecutor's office, in the course of analyzing compliance with the Antimonopoly legislation, revealed facts of illegal overpricing of tariffs by monopolists in the provision of services.
Subjects of natural monopolies Gulden Sauda LLP and ppzht-2 LLP for 2019 unreasonably overstated tariffs for services providing access roads for the passage of rolling stock.
For example, due to the increase in the volume of regulated services of the access road of "ppzht-2" LLP, tariffs are unreasonably inflated from 936.5 to 976.2 tenge for each car/km.
The Department Of the Committee for regulation of natural monopolies of the Ministry of national ECONOMY of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Almaty has received an act of public Prosecutor's supervision, and the tariffs have been reduced and brought into line. Officials were brought to disciplinary responsibility for violations.
Thus, the measures taken protect the rights of 93 entrepreneurs who use the services of monopolists. Savings of consumers ' funds amounted to about 6 million tenge.
Protection of business rights is a priority of the Supervisory authority and is under constant control.
