Meeting on improving the geological knowledge of the subsurface and replenishing the raw material base

On October 19, 2022, the Kyzylorda Regional Inspectorate of the Yuzhkaznedra Regional State University and the Department of Entrepreneurship and Industry of the Kyzylorda region organized a meeting on the development of the mineral resource base of the Kyzylorda region.

 

The meeting was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Geology Committee of the Ministry of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan E.F. Galiev, Deputy Head of the RSU MD "Yuzhkaznedra" A.N. Korotkov, General Director of Azimut Geology LLP D.A. Inkin, heads and representatives of oil, uranium and mining companies.

 

During the meeting, issues of increasing the geological knowledge of the subsurface and replenishing the raw material base were discussed.

 

Deputy Chairman of the Committee of Geology of the MAGPR RK E.F. Galiyev in his speech noted the current problematic issues in terms of depletion of oil and gas reserves in recent years and the measures taken to overcome the current situation.

 

It was also noted that within the framework of the state program for conducting regional and search and evaluation works, work has begun this year on the territory of the region to perform seismic surveys on objects: "Geological and geophysical research (2D seismic exploration) with a density of 20kmx20km in the "East" and "West" sections.

 

D.A. Inkin, General Director of Azimut Geologiya LLP, provided more information about the ongoing work on the above-mentioned objects.

 

Following the meeting, a number of issues were discussed with the subsoil users of the region, during which E.F. Galiev invited subsoil users to take an active part in solving issues of replenishing the mineral resource base of the region.
