The Rules of Fishing and the Rules for the Allocation of Quotas have been amended

On February 8, 2023, changes were made to the rules of fishing in terms of regulating the number of fishing gear in amateur (sports) fishing.
In particular, when carrying out amateur (sports) fishing, restrictions on the number of hooks per fishing rod were removed from the fishing rules.
In addition, various readings have appeared in the text regarding the restriction of the number of crayfish in amateur fishermen.
In this regard, in order to avoid various interpretations, on May 3, 2023, changes were made in the rules of fishing in terms of clarifying the wording of Paragraph 19.
To date, paragraph 19 of the fishing rules reads as follows: "Amateur (Sports) Fishing is carried out with all types of fishing rods covered with various equipment (glistening, mormyshka, wobbler, Mushka and other lure), as well as throwing fishing rods and zherlits. When fishing, the filter can only be used as an auxiliary device.
The number of crayfish traps should not exceed three pieces per angler.
Rifles for underwater hunting are intended for recreational fishing and are allowed to be used outside the recreation area of the population, as well as in places designated by the user of wildlife on approved fisheries water bodies and (or) plots.».
Thus, fishermen have the right to carry out amateur (sports) fishing with all types of fishing rods covered with various equipment (glitters, mormyshka, wobbler, Mushka and other lure), as well as throwing fishing rods and zherlits. At the same time, restrictions on the number of fishing tackle apply only to crayfish traps - no more than 3 pieces per fisherman, and catfish can only be used as an auxiliary tool when fishing.
In addition, additions have been made to the rules for the distribution of quotas for the seizure of wildlife objects in terms of providing supporting documents from territorial divisions when carrying out measures for the reproduction and development of quotas.

The norms of these rules will enter into force on May 26, 2023.
