About 78 million tenge was damage to the state as a result of illegal transportation of sturgeon species of fish

On March 1, 2023, at about 00:30 hours, during a joint operational and preventive event "Poacher", the department of the fish inspection for the Mangystau region of the Zhaiyk-Caspian inter-regional basin inspection of fisheries, together with employees of the DKNB, the environmental prosecutor's office, as well as the patrol police on 43 km of the republican highway "Taushyk-Atyrau" was stopped a car carrying sturgeon fish in the trunk with a total weight of 150 kg.

 As a result of illegal activities, the state suffered damage in the amount of about 78 million tenge. A criminal case has been opened on this fact on the grounds of Article 339 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
