Over the past 3 years, the volume of fish grown has doubled.
A significant growth impulse is the Fisheries Development Program adopted in 2021.
The measures of state support for the industry have been expanded, including ensuring the availability of feed (subsidizing production and investment costs).
Simplified procedures for designing fish ponds.
The Tax Code provides for a 70% reduction in value added tax for commercial fishing.
Only in the last 2 years there has been an increase in the number of fish farms by 2 times.
Fish exports increased by 13%, including to European countries.
In general, the production of farmed and caught fish for 10 months of this year amounted to about 57 thousand tons, which is 12% more than last year.
In addition, the Prime Minister gave instructions on the development of the fishing industry.
Akimats of the regions need to strengthen their efforts to attract investment in the field of fisheries. The procedure for providing plots for the organization of fish farms should be simplified.
The Ministry of Trade, together with the Akimats of the regions, should work out the issues of creating specialized facilities for the sale of domestic fish products. It is necessary to create conditions for increasing demand for local products.
The Head of State emphasized the importance of improving the technical condition of the state sturgeon plants in Atyrau region. Therefore, the Ministries of Ecology, Industry and the Akimat of the region should work out the issue of including the reconstruction of these plants in the list of budget investment projects.
