About catching Kutum fish

As previously reported, in accordance with the decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated September 16, 2022, the kutum fish was excluded from the list of rare and endangered animal species.

In this regard, by the order of the MPR of November 14 of this year
No. 699 fish "kutum" was included in the limits of withdrawal of fish resources for commercial purposes with a total withdrawal volume of 200 tons.

At the same time, by the order of the MPR of November 15 of this year
No. 701, amendments have been made to the Rules for Issuing Permits for the use of wildlife, allowing obtaining permits for commercial fishing of kutum in electronic form through the portal elicense.kz .

In addition, the Committee of Fisheries has sent a letter to the Association of Fisheries – BD on the distribution of quotas between the subjects of the Caspian Sea fisheries.

In this regard, after the distribution of quotas and the entry into force of the above orders, the subjects of fisheries will be able to carry out commercial fishing of kutum in the Caspian Sea.
