The Head of State received Minister of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources Serikkali Brekeshev

The President heard a report on the main results of the Ministry's activities for the 1st quarter of this year and plans for the coming period.

In particular, the Minister spoke about the measures taken to improve the environmental situation in the country. According to him, in accordance with the norms of the new Environmental Code, a technological audit of 83 large companies was conducted, which made it possible to assess their readiness to switch to new technologies until 2025.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was familiarized with the implementation of the national project "Zhasyl Kazakhstan" and regional roadmaps for solving environmental problems.

The Head of State was also informed about the state of the geological industry and the work on the creation of the National Geological Service.

In addition, the President was informed about the state of the water infrastructure, the implementation of the growing season, the development of a new Water Code, as well as the state of forestry and wildlife.

Following the meeting, the Head of State set a number of specific tasks for the Ministry to solve environmental problems, improve water infrastructure and develop the geological industry.
