Due to the fish spawning period, a ban on fishing has been introduced in the region since May 15. The main purpose of the ban on fishing is to increase the growth of this natural wealth. Therefore, industry experts from May 15 to June 15 will fine persons using fishing gear in rivers, lakes. In general, during this period, it is prohibited to use motorboats and other means of transportation on water in reservoirs where spawning is taking place.

- For a period of one month, a complete ban is imposed on amateur fishing on the Ural River, including all spills, within the Atyrau and Western Kazakhstan regions. On the Kigach River in the Kurmagazinsky district, this ban is in effect from April 20 to May 20, with the exception of Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, said Oleg Tushkanov, the official representative of the Ural-Caspian Interregional Basin Inspection of Fisheries.

He explained the early timing of the restriction of fishing on the Kigacha by the peculiarities of this river bordering Russia. One of the priorities of the state is to provide comprehensive support to the development of entrepreneurship and the processing industry in rural areas. Therefore, taking into account these circumstances, restrictions on fishing in the Kigach River were introduced earlier.
