On May 6, 2022, the Committee of Fisheries of the Ministry of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan organized a presentation of the project "Information system of traceability of fish and fish products", which was attended by representatives of fisheries entities, public associations and interregional basin inspections of fisheries.
The presentation was carried out by the developer of this system - "Internet Company "Airweb" LLP, which was previously determined by the developer of the information system on a competitive basis.

The modules "Approval of limits for the withdrawal of fish resources and other aquatic animals", "Allocation of quotas for the withdrawal of fish resources", "Logging of the catch of fish resources and other aquatic animals (commercial journal)" and "Collection of administrative data in the field of fisheries" were presented.

In addition, during the presentation, the participants exchanged views on this system, the project developer was given suggestions for improving the information system.
It should be noted that the creation and implementation of an information system for the traceability of fish and fish products is one of the activities outlined by the National Project "Technological Breakthrough through digitalization, science and innovation", approved by the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated October 12, 2021 No. 727.

The introduction of this information system is planned this year, which will simplify the production activities of fishing entities, optimize the process of their interaction with government agencies, and also accelerate the approval of permits. In addition, integration with the systems of interested government agencies involved in the formation and issuance of documents confirming the legality of the origin of fish and fish products will be provided.
