ANNOUNCEMENT

The Ministry of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources informs that on May 18, 2022, public hearings will be held on the advisory documents of the regulatory policy of the draft Laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Aquaculture" and "On Amendments and Additions to Some Legislative Acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on aquaculture" (hereinafter – the Advisory Documents).

Public hearings will be held at the address: Nur-Sultan, Mangilik El str., 8, "House of Ministries", 15 entrance at 15-00 hours.

The development of fish farming (aquaculture) is impossible without creating the necessary financial, economic, social, environmental, legal and other conditions conducive to creating investment attractiveness and attracting small and medium-sized businesses to this sector of the economy. One of the reasons for the weak development of this direction in the fisheries sector is the insufficient, and sometimes complete absence of effective legal mechanisms regulating relations in this area. At the same time, it should be noted that in a number of post-Soviet countries, such as Russia, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Belarus and others, these issues are regulated by separate legislative acts. Taking into account the above, the Ministry in the Advisory Documents suggests possible solutions and measures to improve legislation to create favorable conditions in fish farming (aquaculture).
