5 residents who carried out illegal fishing were detained in the West Kazakhstan region
On April 19, 2022, at about 6:30 a.m., during the raid activities within the framework of the fish protection campaign "Bekire-2022", employees of the Fish Inspection Department for the West Kazakhstan Region of the Zhaiyk-Caspian inter-regional basin Inspection of Fisheries in the Akzhayyk district in the Shabdarzhap locality on the bank of the Zhaiyk river detained five residents of the village.Taipak of the Akzhayyk district of the West Kazakhstan region, who carried out illegal fishing.

During the inspection, it was found out that these persons illegally caught 262 kg of fish of partial species. An investigative and operational group of law enforcement agencies was called to the scene of the incident, a criminal case was initiated on the grounds of part 1 of Article 335 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a pre-trial investigation is being conducted.
