When transferring commercial reservoirs for fish farming, it is excluded to obtain the conclusion of an environmental assessment for biological justification

By Order of the Minister of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 78 dated March 16, 2022 (hereinafter referred to as the Order), amendments were made to the Rules for Transferring fishery reservoirs and (or) areas Assigned for Commercial Fishing to fishery reservoirs and (or) areas for fish farming (aquaculture).
In particular, the following changes have been made:
* It is excluded to obtain the conclusion of an environmental assessment when transferring reservoirs used for commercial purposes for fish farming (aquaculture) according to the Rules of the state environmental expertise.
* The subject of fisheries, when transferring fishery reservoirs and (or) areas assigned for commercial fishing to fishery reservoirs and (or) areas for fish farming (aquaculture), documents are submitted instead of local executive bodies to the territorial divisions of the department of the authorized body.
The order was sent for state registration to the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan on March 16, 2022. State registration is carried out within 5 working days after the day of receipt by the judicial authorities from the state developer body.
By way of information, we inform you that the Order is put into effect after 10 calendar days after the date of its first official publication.
