A delegation of the Supreme Audit Chamber headed by Chairwoman Natalya Godunova visited the Court of Auditors in Portugal

Within the framework of the visit, the Court of Auditors suggested to conduct a peer review of the Supreme Audit Chamber of Kazakhstan.

Also the President of the Court of Auditors, Mr. Jose Tavares, made a presentation about the history and functioning features of the Portuguese Supreme Audit Institution. In turn, Natalya Godunova told about the ongoing reform of the state audit system in Kazakhstan and the adopted amendments to the Constitution of Kazakhstan in changing the Accounts Committee status and its transformation into the Supreme Audit Chamber. The delegation also visited the Court of Auditors archive, where the delegates viewed with the exhibits, whose history goes back seven centuries.

The parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Supreme Audit Chamber of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Court of Auditors of the Portuguese Republic.

At the end of the meeting, the Head of the Supreme Audit Chamber expressed confidence in the fruitful development of cooperation between the supreme audit institutions.
