Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan Strengthen Cooperation in the Field of State Audit

A meeting of representatives of the Supreme Audit Chamber of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Accounts Chamber of the Republic of Uzbekistan took place in the city of Tashkent.

During the meeting, an Action Plan for the Development of Cooperation for 2026-2028 between the Supreme Audit Institutions of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan was signed.

The document was developed in implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding signed in 2025 on the sidelines of the XXV Congress of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI), which was held in the city of Sharm El‑Sheikh (Arab Republic of Egypt).

The Plan provides for further development of professional interaction between the state bodies, including the exchange of experience and best practices in the field of state audit, the organization of working meetings and expert consultations, as well as strengthening methodological cooperation.

During the meeting, Member of the Supreme Audit Chamber of the Republic of Kazakhstan Rustem Nurpeissov emphasized that joint work of the Supreme Audit Institutions will help increase transparency and strengthen trust and the effectiveness of public administration in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

It is expected that the implementation of the Plan will provide an additional impetus for the development of the strategic partnership between the two countries and the expansion of institutional cooperation between the Supreme Audit Institutions of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
