On 2–3 February 2026, the EUROSAI Conference on “Artificial Intelligence in State Audit” was held in Abu Dhabi (UAE). A delegation of the Supreme Audit Chamber took part in the event.
The conference was attended by representatives of the Supreme Audit Institutions of the United Kingdom, Israel, the UAE, the United States of America, Estonia, Switzerland, France, and other member states of EUROSAI, as well as representatives of the OECD and the academic community.
During the conference, it was noted that amid the rapid development of digital technologies, the use of artificial intelligence tools is becoming strategically important for public audit systems.
AI opens up new technological, managerial, professional, and financial opportunities for integration into audit activities. The use of AI enhances the planning and conduct of audits, the monitoring of the implementation of recommendations, and improves the efficiency and quality of audit engagements, including interaction with audited entities.
At the same time, it was emphasized that the introduction of artificial intelligence is accompanied by certain risks related to cybersecurity issues, as well as ensuring the accuracy and reliability of data.
Conference participants highlighted that Supreme Audit Institutions should not only apply AI tools in their own operations, but also audit the readiness of public administration systems to adopt artificial intelligence technologies and assess the effectiveness of public funds allocated for their development.
Within the framework of the event, representatives of Supreme Audit Institutions exchanged practical experience in implementing AI tools and expressed their readiness for further cooperation in digitalization and the development of information technologies.
