The Government has approved a new procedure for implementing the Supreme Audit Chamber's recommendations based on the results of budget estimate

The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan has amended the Rules for the Preparation and Submission of the Annual Report on the Execution of the Republican Budget. These amendments introduce a clear procedure for the development and monitoring of a special Roadmap for implementing the Supreme Audit Chamber recommendations.

The process of introducing these new amendments was initiated by the Supreme Audit Chamber.

The following procedure is now established:

First, the central government body responsible for budget execution prepares a draft Roadmap for implementing the Supreme Audit Chamber's recommendations for the Government's report for the relevant year. This Roadmap specifies concrete measures and timelines for implementation over the long-term, medium-term, and short-term periods.

After preparation, the draft Roadmap is submitted to the Supreme Audit Chamber for approval. Supreme Audit Chamber has 10 working days to either approve the document or return it with suggestions and comments.

Next begins the control stage. All government bodies responsible for implementing specific items of the Roadmap must report on their work every quarter (no later than the 5th day of the month following the reporting period).

After receiving the Supreme Audit Chamber's feedback, the central government body informs the Government Office about the progress in implementing the Roadmap.

Thus, the process of implementing the Supreme Audit Chamber's recommendations on the Government's report on the execution of the republican budget will become more transparent and structured: every action will now be recorded, monitored, and carried through to its final outcome.

Overall, the introduction of the Roadmap and the new reporting procedure will enable government bodies to clearly understand their tasks and deadlines, while providing the Supreme Audit Chamber with the ability to promptly monitor the implementation of its recommendations.
