Public Administration in Times of Crisis and the Implementation of AI: SAC Participated in the XXV INCOSAI

The XXV Congress of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) has concluded in Sharm El-Sheikh.

At the Egyptian Congress, which was attended by the official delegation of the Supreme Audit Chamber of the Republic of Kazakhstan led by Alikhan Smailov, two key issues were discussed:

– The role of supreme audit institutions in auditing central banks and government activities during financial and economic crises;

– The use of artificial intelligence techniques in auditing.

Both topics are highly relevant and demanded in modern conditions. Their detailed study aims to strengthen the professional capacity of INTOSAI and thereby enhance the efficiency of public resource management in the Organization’s member countries.

As a result of the meeting, the official Sharm El-Sheikh Declaration was adopted.

The Declaration summarizes the key strategic perspectives, achievements, and recommendations of the XXV INCOSAI.

In addition, during the XXV Congress, an award ceremony was held to present professional awards in “INTOSAI Future Award” and “SAI Young Leaders Award.” The Elmar Bstaats and Kimi Makuetto Awards were also awarded.

The final events included the election of members of the INTOSAI Governing Board and INTOSAI Auditors for the upcoming term.

The XXVI INCOSAI will take place in 2028 in Indonesia.
