Energy Ministers of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan discussed OPEC+ agreement

Today, on August 27, 2020, the Minister of Energy N. Nogayev had a video conference with the Minister of Energy of Azerbaijan P. Shakhbazov to discuss preparation of upcoming Kazakh-Azerbaijani Intergovernmental Commission on trade and economic cooperation.

In connection with coronavirus pandemic, the parties agreed to hold an Intergovernmental Commission in the format of a videoconference in October this year.

In addition, during the conversation, the parties discussed the work of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan carried out within the framework of OPEC+. Today, thanks to the measures taken by the parties to the OPEC+ agreement, there is a positive trend in changing oil prices and restoring the balance of supply and demand.
