The solar power plant "SES "Zhetysay" was put into operation in Turkestan region

Solar power plant "SES "Zhetysai" with a capacity of 4.8 MW is put into service to increase the proportion of clean energy in Zhetysai district, the press service of ME RK announced.

The owner of the power plant is Kadi Company LLP, which implemented the project at its own expense.

During the construction of the power plant, bifunctional double-sided panels with a single power of 375 W were used with application of a single-axis morning-evening tracker system with a fixed angle. Using a tracker system will increase the power plant's output by up to 30 %.

Construction was carried out on the territory of a former landfill with an area of 10.7 hectares. The active construction phase starts in August 2019. 42 people were involved in the construction and installation works. Now the station is serviced by staff of 14 people.

The project corresponds to the policy of "green" economy and contributes to the industrial and innovative development of Kazakhstan. The reduction of CO2 emissions into the atmosphere will be about 6048 T/year. Additional jobs were created during the project implementation. Also, it should be noted that the source of electricity is inexhaustible and accessible. The payback period for this project is 7 years.

The planned annual output to the grid is 7,219,000 kW. Electricity is generated by 12,798 solar panels distributed on 158 mobile "tables" across 81 solar modules. To convert direct current to alternating current, the power plant provides 4 inverters with a single power of 1,250 KW each, combined in a block-modular installation.Unofficial translation
