Kazakhstan's farmers will be able to buy diesel fuel 15% cheaper than current retail prices

The price of diesel fuel, including delivery, storage and margins of agricultural operators, will be about 165 tenge, the press service of the Ministry of economy of Kazakhstan reports.

Earlier, the Ministry of energy together with the Ministry of agriculture approved "Schedule for assigning regions to refineries for the supply of diesel fuel for field work in 2020", within the schedule the need of agricultural producers (hereinafter referred to as AP) was approved in the amount of 390 thousand tons.

The recommended price earlier (for February – March this year) was at the level of 194 thousand tenge per ton at the plant (161 tenge per liter).

As part of the execution of the Order of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the price of diesel fuel for AP at the plant will be set at 174 thousand tenge per ton or 144 tenge per liter.

Taking into account delivery, storage and operator margins, prices will vary around 165 tenge per liter, which is 15% cheaper than current prices (the average weekly price of diesel fuel at a gas station is 193 tenge per liter).
