Results of auction trading by RES type as of November 11, 2020

The auction was declared valid.

5 companies were allowed to participate in the auction, during the trading session, the participants submitted 13 price proposals, the unit capacity of the projects ranged from 4.95 to 10 MW.

The total volume of submitted applications was 29.8 MW. The maximum auction price during the auction for the selection of RES projects in 2020 was 21.69 tenge / kWh (excluding VAT).

During the trading session, a price range of bids received from auction participants ranged from 21.69 to 21.09 tenge / kWh (excluding VAT).

Following the results of the auction, the following companies were identified as winners:

- LLP "Greencity KZ" (Kazakhstan), the installed capacity of the project is 10 MW, an auction price is 21.09 tenge/kW*h (excluding VAT). The project is planned to be located in the Taiynshinsky district of the North Kazakhstan region;

- LLP "Argest" (Kazakhstan), the installed capacity of the project is 4.95 MW, an auction price is 21.53 tenge/kW*h (excluding VAT). The project is planned to be located near the city of Ereimentau, Akmola region.

Representatives of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, KazEnergy ALE, KEA ALE and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development took part in the auction as observers. The observers noted that the auction was hold in accordance with the approved normative legal acts and confirmed the transparency of an electronic trading system work of the auction organizer -  "KOREM" JSC.

The next auction is scheduled for 23.11.2020 by BioPP 10 MW type.

According to the Schedule of Auction Bidding, approved by order of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 202 dated May 21, 2020, it is planned to conduct auction bidding in the amount of 250 MW of installed capacity for 2020, broken down by power plant types:

- solar power plants - 55 MW (2 projects of which with documentation, the installed capacity of each project is 20 MW);

- wind power plants - 65 MW;

- hydroelectric power plants - 120 MW;

- BioPP - 10 MW.
