Kazakhstan is taking measures to increase the activity of investors in the field of renewable energy sources

The Ministry of energy prepared a draft Government resolution "On amending resolution of the government of the Republic of Kazakhstan from March 27, 2014 № 271 "On approval of Rules of determination of the fixed tariffs and the limiting auction prices" (hereinafter – the draft), the press service of ME RK reports.

1. The draft resolution was developed in order to bring it into compliance with the Laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated April 6, 2016 "On legal acts" and November 2, 2015 "On the public councils".

2. The draft resolution proposes a new definition "large hydroelectric power plant" for a clear understanding when using these rules.

3. In addition, in order to contain a clear and not subject to different interpretation "Kaz PV" term, a new definition is proposed: "photovoltaic modules based on Kazakhstan silicon (Kaz PV) – photovoltaic modules manufactured at enterprises located in the Republic of Kazakhstan, using silicon produced on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan".

The draft resolution of the Government is published on "Open  normative legal acts" portal.
