Under the chairmanship of the First Vice-Minister of the TSZN of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sarbasov A.A., an expanded meeting was organized to discuss issues of organizing safe and legal labor migration and deepening bilateral cooperation in the field of labor migration with the participation of authorized bodies of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Uzbekistan, heads of the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Consulate General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Almaty, akimats of Almaty, East Kazakhstan, Zhambyl, Kyzylorda, Turkestan regions and Shymkent (in videoconference format)

At the meeting, the Parties discussed topical issues of ongoing reforms in the field of external labor migration, organized labor migration of citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Republic of Kazakhstan in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, digitalization of the social and labor sphere, etc.

In addition, the Uzbek side initiated a proposal to create a joint working group and develop a draft Action plan for interdepartmental cooperation in the field of labor migration for 2021-2022.
