Berdibek Saparbayev told how many Kazakhstan citizens will increase their wages in 2019

Minister of labor and social protection of population of RK Berdibek Saparbayev told about the implementation of the instructions of the Elbasy and the President of RK to increase the wages of low-paid workers.

As you know, in the implementation of the October Address of the First President since the beginning of 2019, the minimum wage has been increased by 1.5 times – from 28 to 42.5 thousand tenge. This measure covered about 1.3 million people, including 275,000 civil servants working in the fields of education, health care, social services, culture and sports.

"We conduct a monthly monitoring of the calculation of the minimum wage. Thus, the results of the receipt analysis of compulsory pension contributions showed that in April of this year 92 thousand workers received wages below the MWR. We also conduct the monitoring of the increasing of wages for low-paid workers. Currently, more than 203,000 employers have committed to increase the wages of 1.1 million people," the Minister said.

In addition, since the beginning of June this year, the wages of individual employees of the public sector have been increased to 30%. More than 1 million civil servants working in the spheres of health care, education, social protection, culture, sports, agriculture and others will receive an increased wage this month.

Now the average wage rate of one employee will amount to 114.5 thousand tenge (up to June 1, 2019 it was 99.6 thousand tenge). For 2019, 144.3 billion tenge is provided for this increase in the republican budget.
