On June 18 this year, the mass media reported that "payments for child care until child reaches one year are planned to be reduced to a minimum if the recipient of the benefit decides to go to work. The corresponding norm is contained in the draft new law “On compulsory social insurance”, which was recently adopted by the Mazhylis of the Parliament in the first reading.
We inform that the norm on reduction the size of social payment in case of loss of income in connection with the child care until reaching one year to the size of the similar state benefit in case of renewal by the recipient of labor or entrepreneurial activity was earlier present in the draft of the specified law.
However, taking into account the opinion of the public and the state policy aimed at increasing measures to support motherhood and childhood, at the suggestion of deputies, this norm was excluded from the bill even before its adoption in the first reading in the Mazhylis of the Parliament.
