Issues of social responsibility of business were discussed at a meeting in Zhezkazgan

During the working trip to Karaganda region, the government working group headed by Deputy Prime Minister Gulshara Abdykalikova held a working meeting on issues of social responsibility of business.

The event was attended by local executive bodies, heads of large enterprises, business structures, trade union organizations of the region.

Speaking at the meeting, Minister of labor and social protection of population of RK Berdibek Saparbayev urged large enterprises to join the social policy of the state.

"We have analyzed more than 1000 large enterprises in the country. We found out how many employees with many children work there and how many of them do not have housing. This issue was discussed at a meeting of the government. And we're asking businesses in the first place to provide these employees with housing and to support employees with many children who are in maternity leave and mothers who are raising children with disabilities", - said the head of the Ministry of labor.

At the same time, he noted that large enterprises have always helped their employees in need of support.

Akim of Karaganda region Erlan Koshanov, in turn, added that the social development of the regions began to significantly affect the investment of entrepreneurs.

"Right here in Zhezkazgan almost 10 years ago our First President raised the issue of social responsibility of business for the first time. Berdibek Saparbayev was then the initiator of this forum, coordinated and monitored the implementation of the obligations and conditions of the first memoranda, contributed to the conclusion of the first collective agreements. Today we already see the results of this work - business without the participation of the state implements its social initiatives," he said.

Deputy Prime Minister G. Abdykalikova noted that the state pays special attention to social issues, support for families with many children and low-income. She urged the business to actively join this work.

The working trip of the government group will continue in Karaganda region on Thursday, April 18.
