There will be electronic social cards with information about the social and living conditions of each family in Kazakhstan

This was reported by the Minister of labor and social protection of population Berdibek Saparbayev at a briefing in "Ukimet Uyi" on March 5, 2019.

"Together with the local executive bodies, individual social cards will be formed for each family to find out whether they work, what their average income is, what problems there are, and on the basis of these cards we will determine the neediest citizens of Kazakhstan to provide support," the Minister said.

We remind that since the beginning of 2018, address social assistance of a new format with the provision of comprehensive social assistance: cash payments; measures to promote employment, that is, the direction of training, youth practice, social jobs, microcredit, employment; guaranteed volume of social services are available to support low-income families.  

According to results of 2018, 571 thousand people or 111 thousand families received ASA.

Also, from July 1, 2019, the criteria for the appointment of ASA will increase from 50% to 70% of the subsistence minimum per person, that is, from 14 849 to 20 789 KZT this year.

In addition, the appointment of ASA from the total family income will be excluded allowances for large families and mothers with many children, awarded pendants "Kumis Alka" and "Altyn Alka", as well as disability allowances for children.

Thirdly, every month for each child from a low-income family will be paid guaranteed assistance in the amount of 70% of the subsistence minimum (20 789 KZT). The size of the ASA for adult family members will be calculated as before. 

This will allow an average increase in assistance by 40%. These measures will cover more than 830 thousand people with address social assistance in 2019.
