The disability benefit will be increased by 30%

The Head of state instructed to ensure the growth of the average size of social payments from the State social insurance fund to 30% of persons who have lost their ability to work and lost their breadwinner.

In order to implement the instructions of the Head of state, the Ministry of labor and social protection of the Republic of Kazakhstan has developed a draft Law "On compulsory social insurance", which will be submitted to the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan in March this year.

The draft law provides for changing the mechanisms for calculating social benefits, in particular:

  • intensification of the relationship between the experience of participation in the system of compulsory social insurance and the amount of social benefits;
  • determination of disability benefits not on average, but on the individual degree of disability;
  • increase dependency rate;
  • increase the level of compensation for persons who have lost their jobs.

The implementation of the bill is aimed at ensuring social protection of working citizens in the event of social risks.
