MLSPP of the RK will create a national plan to ensure the rights and improve the quality of life of persons with disabilities until 2025

In accordance with the instruction of the Head of state, the Ministry of labour and social protection of the Republic of Kazakhstan is currently working on the development of a draft National plan to ensure the rights and improve the quality of life of people with disabilities until 2025 (hereinafter – National Plan).

This National plan will be radically different from the previous plans and it will provide a comprehensive integrated approach to creating conditions for self-realization and full integration of people with disabilities in the socio-economic life of the country, which includes the prevention of disability, the development of inclusive education, the formation of a barrier-free environment, ensuring quality employment of people with disabilities, modernization of social services and changes in the public perception of people with disabilities.

For develop of the National plan, a working group was created, which includes representatives of the central state and local executive bodies, non-governmental and international organizations, as well as advisers on disability issues, divided into subgroups on relevant issues under the leadership of the supervising Vice-Ministers of state bodies.
