Disability is established in absentia in a pilot mode in 7 regions of Kazakhstan

The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in cooperation with the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, is implementing a pilot project for the correspondence definition of disability.

At the same time, the number of regions participating in this project increased from 4 to 7. Recall that previously this service was available only in Akmola, Karaganda, Kostanay and West Kazakhstan regions. Now Pavlodar region, the cities of Astana and Almaty have joined them.

“The collection of patient data takes place at the polyclinic and is transmitted to the information systems of the Ministry of Labor, along with a referral to disability,” said Nariman Mukushev, vice minister of labor and social protection.

Such an approach will eliminate the human factor and reduce corruption risks. All applications for the determination of disability will be reviewed by independent experts.

To date, 425 applications have been received for the extramural determination of disability, 405 of them have been successfully processed.
