Another positive transformation of the social and labor sphere in 2018 was the introduction of a new format for providing targeted social assistance. This format involves the involvement of able-bodied members of low-income families in the promotion of employment. So, for 5 months of the current year, TSA beneficiaries became about 72 thousand families, and the average size of the benefit has doubled.

The Minister informed that since July 1 of the current year the basic level of pensions has been modernized, providing for the interrelation of payments with the length of service.

The increase has affected more than 2 million pensioners, of which about 1 million people now receive a basic pension at the maximum amount, and for 930,000 people, the increase will be from 37% to 81%. Taking into account the indexation of pensions by 6% since January 1, 2018, the average size of the basic pension has increased 1.8 times compared to 2017, "Madina Abylkasymova summed up.
