More than 226 thousand citizens embraced the new format of the TSA

During the first quarter of 2018 targeted social assistance new format covered about 226,000 low-income people from 44 thousand families. Of these, nearly 43 000 people are recipients of unconditional financial assistance, 183.5 thousand. People receive conditional cash assistance.

Recall that in accordance with the request of the President of the formation of new social policies and better targeting of aid to the most needy, with the January 1, 2018 in Kazakhstan introduced a new approach targeted social assistance, based on the principles of conditionality and the conclusion of the social contract.

TSA of the new format is available to families with incomes below 50% of the subsistence minimum in the form of unconditional and conditional cash assistance, taking into account the presence in a family of working age family members, as well as with mandatory participation of the latter in the measures to promote employment.

However, the results of the introduction of the new format of the TSA showed that thanks to government support measures in a number of regions of the citizens were able to open their own business. For example, in Aktobe, Almaty, West Kazakhstan and South Kazakhstan regions there are examples when the woman at the end of training courses opened sewing workshops, thus ensuring a stable income for their families.
