In the Kyzylorda Oblast, 926 social facilities became accessible to persons with disabilities

For today in the region of the planned 1185 social facilities 926 are adapted. Another 314 objects will be available until the end of 2019.

These and other issues were raised during the meeting of heads of state bodies and non-governmental organizations with disabled people in the framework of the project "Support for people with disabilities".

By the way, today in Kyzylorda region live more than 29 thousand citizens with disabilities. In 2013, this region was the first in the country, where the Roadmap for Ensuring Rights and Improving the Quality of Life of Persons with Disabilities was launched.

Over the past 4 years alone, over 13.8 billion tenge has been spent for its implementation.

In 2017, 415 million tenge is provided for the implementation of individual rehabilitation programs for disabled people from the regional budget; about 12,000 individual rehabilitation programs for disabled people have already been implemented.

Until the end of this year, 1275 citizens from the category of disabled people are planned to cover sanatorium-resort treatment. Over 3 thousand to date are provided with the necessary means for movement. Special social services in day hospitals receive about 190 children of this category.

In order to create the most possible conditions for people with disabilities, 18 "Invataxi" vehicles operate in the Kyzylorda region within the framework of the state social order.
