122,9 thousand Kazakhstanis became participants of the project "Orleu" from the beginning

To date, the project "Orleu" works in all 14 oblasts and cities of Astana and Almaty. On 1 August this year, the project participants were 122,9 thousand people, up 5.3% compared to last year. During the period of project implementation the income of participants has increased more than 3 times. As a result, the Republic has been steadily decreasing the number of low-income families.

According to the Director of the social assistance Department of the Ministry of labor and social protection of Arman Umarbaeva: "project "Orleu" is planned to involve about 150 thousand low-income citizens from all districts and cities of the country. For these purposes, the budget includes 7 billion. It is worth noting that the families participating in the employment program, in addition to targeted social assistance receive state support for able-bodied family members in the form of payment of the cost of training, subsidy of 35 % of salary for social jobs, youth practice of payment for graduates in the form of microcredit to open their own business".

 The state program "Orleu" is a complex of measures to provide monetary assistance under the social contract. The project "Orleu" is intended to prepare the population for the introduction of a new format of targeted social assistance (TSA).

TSA in the new format from 1 January 2018 will be available to families with incomes below 50% of the subsistence minimum for each family member.
