The number of accidents at the enterprises of Kazakhstan decreased by 2.4%
About it at meeting of coordination Council on security and occupational safety, held in the Ministry of labor and social protection of population of Kazakhstan with the participation of representatives of interested state bodies, National chamber of entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan "Atameken" and Federation of trade unions of Kazakhstan, said the Chairman of the Committee of labor, social protection and migration of the Ministry MLSP RK(further - CLSPM) Ahmadi Sarbasov.
"In 2016, enterprises and organizations of the Republic in the result of accidents suffered 1683 person, which is 2.4% lower compared to year 2015 (1723 people)", - he said.
Ahmadi Sarbasov reminded that from 1 January 2016 was the introduction of a new Labor code aimed at creating a modern system of safety management and labor protection at the enterprises of the Republic through the creation of special industrial councils, whose decisions are binding for the employer.
"In 2016 at the enterprises of the Republic established 11 thousand 215 industrial security and labor protection, responsible for implementation of internal controls for the protection of labor," he added.
Chapter CLSPM also noted that in 2016, state labor inspectors of the regions held on 10 thousand 734 checks, the results of which employers 7 thousand issued 113 orders to eliminate violations, imposed 4 182 administrative penalty for a total of 603.5 million tenge.
"At the request of the state labor inspectors employers dismissed 73 officials guilty of violation of rules on safety and labor protection. Due to real threats to the life and health of the workers, state labor inspectors were suspended (banned) work, 66 machinery and other equipment 29 production facilities and the activities of 16 organizations. In order to address the issue of criminal responsibility of officials guilty of violations, state inspectors of work in law enforcement agencies sent 1 thousand 656 materials, initiated 219 criminal cases," said Ahmadi Sarbasov.
The meeting discussed new mechanisms of certification of production objects on working conditions, as well as the current status of safety and labor protection at the enterprises of the Republic.
