To date, there are 3 republican unions of trade unions, 56 branch, 35 territorial, 370 local trade union organizations in Kazakhstan.

Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan

The Federation is the most massive and representative organization of the country's workers. It voluntarily includes 23 branch trade unions, 17 territorial associations of trade unions (at the level of regions and cities of Nur-Sultan, Almaty, Shymkent). Their structures number more than 17 thousand primary, more than 300 city and district, more than 100 regional trade union organizations.

Union membership coverage:1.8 million employees.

In terms of their number, the largest are the republican branch trade unions of education and science workers, uniting more than 700 thousand members; healthcare - more than 200 thousand, mining and metallurgical - more than 130 thousand, railway, automobile, air and water transport railwaymen - more than 100 thousand members of trade unions.

The highest body of the Federation is the Congress, which is convened once every five years. At the congresses, social and labor problems are discussed, the general policy of the Federation is determined, a program document for the long-term period of trade union activity is adopted, if necessary, amendments and additions are made to the Charter, governing bodies are elected.

The Federation of Trade Unions publishes a regular newspaper «Kazakhstan Kasipodagi», newsletters and other printed products.

Republican Union of Trade Unions "Kazakhstan Confederation of Labor"

Republican Union of Trade Unions "Kazakhstan Confederation of Labor of Kazakhstan" is the legal successor of the OUL in the form of the association "Kazakhstan Trade Union Center" established on March 5, 2002 and registered by the Department of Justice of Almaty on June 25, 2002.

On March 2, 2004, the congress of the Kazakhstan Trade Union Center took place, at which it was decided to rename this Association into the "Confederation of Labor of Kazakhstan".

Coverage: about 800 thousand members.

The Confederation of Labor of Kazakhstan was re-registered in the Department of Justice of Almaty on June 18, 2004.

In connection with the adoption of the new law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Trade Unions", the former OUL "Confederation of Labor of Kazakhstan" passed state registration with the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan on March 11, 2015 and acquired the status of the Republican Union of Trade Unions "Kazakhstan Confederation of Labor".

Republican Union of Trade Unions "Commonwealth of Trade Unions of Kazakhstan "Amanat"

Republican Union of Trade Unions "Commonwealth of Trade Unions of Kazakhstan "Amanat" was registered on May 3, 2017.

On October 20, 2017, the notification of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan confirmed the republican status of the association.
