On February 8, at 5:44 p.m., rescuers of the capital's operational rescue squad left for the village of Shalkar in the Korgalzhynsky district of the Akmola region on high-passable equipment to help a woman in labor. Rescuers arrived in the village, which is located 156 kilometers from the capital, the road was complicated by the lack of visibility and a severe snowstorm.
Upon arrival, having evacuated a pregnant woman born in 1995, rescuers set off on their way to the city.
Despite the adverse weather conditions, rescuers safely delivered the pregnant woman to one of the city hospitals and handed her over to medical specialists.
