Safety measures during Epiphany bathing

The folk tradition of the day of the celebration of the «Epiphany of the Lord» all over the world and Kazakhstan is no exception, is associated with bathing in an ice hole or other open water sources.

So, in the period from January 18 to January 19 of this year, 262 official places were identified in the country, with 269 fonts.

In order to ensure the safety of the population, the Committee for Civil Defense and Military Units, together with local executive bodies, the forces of Emergency Departments and the police, carried out a set of organizational measures for the safe conduct of the event.

Informing the population on safety issues and the prevention of accidents on reservoirs was carried out by holding 43 briefings on the country's TV channels, posting 310 materials in the media and 504 posts on social networks.

Round-the-clock duty has been organized in crowded places, tent camps have been set up, for which 3300 personnel and 1090 pieces of equipment have been involved.

The complex of measures made it possible to ensure the safety of more than 79 thousand people.
