Yuri Ilyin held a meeting of the MVGC on the preparation for the 2021 swimming season

Today, on May 28, under the chairmanship of the Minister for Emergency Situations Yuri Ilyin, a meeting of the Interdepartmental State Commission for the Prevention and Elimination of Emergency Situations was held with the agenda "On the preparation of central and local executive bodies for the 2021 swimming season".

The meeting was attended by the heads of central state and local executive bodies.

The heads of the Committee for Civil Defense and Military Units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Committee for the Protection of Children's Rights of the Ministry of Education and Science reported on the preparations for the bathing period, the organization of leisure and summer recreation for children.

It is noted that the rescue units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations control 125 sections of reservoirs, where 493 rescuers serve daily in an enhanced version. In the country, 469 permitted swimming spots have been identified, including 118 communal and 275 private beaches, and 76 places are designated as owners.

The Minister gave a number of specific instructions to take early measures to reduce the risk of emergencies, ensure safety and prevent the death of people in water areas during the current bathing period.
