The Minister of Emergency Situations awarded the hero who saved the girl on the water

Minister of Emergency Situations Yuri Ilyin awarded the medal "Suga batkandardy kutkargany Ush" to a resident of Nur-Sultan Asylbek Nurzhanov for saving a girl born in 2001 on the water.

- I thank you for your courage, bravery and selflessness in saving human life on the water – - said Yuri Ilyin.

The incident occurred on May 26, 2021 on the Akbulak River in the city of Nur-Sultan.

In the Baikonur district, a girl jumped from the pedestrian bridge of one of the higher educational institutions of Nur-Sultan into the Akbulak River.

After seeing the girl jump and hearing screams for help, a security officer from one of the capital's universities, Asylbek, dived into the water and saved her.

"At that time, the girl was unconscious. Other eyewitnesses helped me to get to the shore and provided first aid to the girl, " the hero said.

The Minister of Emergency Situations thanked Asylbek Nurzhanov and wished his family health and happiness.
