Rescuers of the CIS countries have worked out joint skills in emergency situations

In the period from May 12 to 16, 2021, a delegation of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan, headed by Minister Y. V. Ilyin, took part in the XIII International Salon of Security Equipment "Integrated Security", organized by the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia at the Patriot Exhibition Center (Kubinka, Moscow Region). This was announced by the official representative of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan Talgat Uali.

The participants of the event got acquainted with new developments of rescue equipment, fire safety equipment, as well as disaster medicine and radiation, chemical and bacteriological protection.

The delegation took part in two conferences, as well as got acquainted with the work of the National Crisis Management Center and the special purpose rescue team "Leader" of the EMERCOM of Russia.

During the events, Yuri Ilyin held bilateral meetings with the Ministers of Emergency Situations of Armenia, Belarus, Russia and Kyrgyzstan. Within the framework of the meetings, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for further development of cooperation in the field of emergency prevention and response, personnel training, provision of humanitarian assistance to countries affected by emergency situations, promotion of life safety, training of children and young people in the skills of safe behavior in emergency situations, as well as the state of affairs and prospects for the implementation of bilateral and multilateral agreements.

A meeting was also held with the Secretary General of the International Civil Defense Organization, Mrs. Njupuo Yap Mariatu, on cooperation in the field of civil protection and prospects for strengthening the role of Kazakhstan in joint work.

Recall that in the period of May 12-16, on the basis of the Noginsky Rescue Center of the EMERCOM of Russia, the CIS Forces Corps held exercises on the topic of response and elimination of the consequences of a devastating earthquake, which was attended by search and rescue teams of the emergency departments of Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus and Uzbekistan. From the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan, 20 rescuers, 5 pieces of equipment and two dogs of the Republican Operational and Rescue squad took part in the exercises. According to the results of the second stage of the exercises of the CIS Corps of Forces, Kazakhstan rescuers were awarded a certificate, two rescuers were awarded medals.
