Children are not looking for danger – they are just playing

Children are not looking for danger – they are just playing

Young children do not have sufficient knowledge and skills to ensure safety when handling fire and are not able to foresee the dangerous consequences of their actions, and often children become victims and perpetrators of accidents. Civil protection officers face the task of changing people's consciousness and attitude to safety, and children's age is the most favorable for mastering the rules of action in case of emergency.

In this regard, to teach children the rules of fire safety in the region, employees of structural and territorial divisions of the Department of Emergency Situations of the West Kazakhstan region, together with the Regional Department of Education, conduct briefings, lectures and interactive classes with students on the skills of protecting their lives.

Explain to children the rules of fire safety at home, except for school. If a fire or signs of burning (smoke, elevated temperature, burning smell, etc.) are detected, a child of any age must immediately leave the room, along with this, as they say gorenje.: "Forbidden fruit is sweet!", therefore it is more useful to explain to the child once again about the danger lurking in a box of matches, a lighter, than to simply say: "It is impossible!"

It is very important that children remember these tips. By personal example, teach children to comply with fire safety rules. Only by taking great care of our children will we be able to prevent fires from children's pranks with fire, save our home, property and the most precious thing – the life of a child.

What you need to do in order to avoid a fire from a child's prank with fire:

- tell children about fire-safe behavior;

- be an example in all situations related to compliance with fire safety rules;

- place the matches out of the reach of children;

- do not instruct children to light stoves, gas stoves, turn on household appliances on their own;

- make sure that children do not light fires;

- do not leave children unattended by adults;

- organize an interesting leisure time for your child.
