Rules for the use of electrical appliances
The main cause of a fire from electricity is a short circuit, overload in the network. To prevent this from happening, the wiring should be kept in good condition, and to prevent a fire in case of a short circuit and overload in the network (switching on several electrical appliances at once), calibrated factory-made fuses must necessarily be on the switchboard. If you turn on a homemade fuse made of thick wire into the power grid – a "Bug", then it will not melt when short-circuited. Consequently, the "protection" will not work, and the network will be left under current.
In this case, the wires are heated to melting, the insulation ignites, sparks and fire will pass to the surrounding combustible objects and a fire will occur.
That's why you should always use factory-made fuses only. A short circuit can also occur in the electrical wiring. Therefore, it must be in good condition.
A fire can also occur from an electric light bulb, the tungsten filament of which emits a lot of heat when heated. To prevent this from happening, electric lamps should not touch paper and cloth lampshades.
Often a fire occurs from household electrical appliances, although they are factory-made and quite serviceable. If a large number of such devices are connected to the power grid at the same time, this will cause overload and overheating of the electrical wires. The insulation will ignite and the fire along the wires will spread to various objects.
A fire can also occur from one electric heating device (iron, kettle, heater, etc.) if it is used incorrectly. That is why it is strictly forbidden to leave devices connected to the network unattended or entrust the supervision of them to young children. The device should not be placed on combustible objects, as well as turn them on near curtains, curtains, wooden partitions and other easily combustible objects.
Remember! In the event of a fire or an emergency, it is necessary to call the numbers "101" and "112".
