Readiness for the winter period was discussed at a meeting of the commission on prevention and liquidation of emergency situations.

The meeting was held under the leadership of the deputy akim of the city – commander of the emergency response unit Aymanbetov M. Special attention is paid to the preparation of road equipment. For timely snow removal, the highways of the city will be taken under enhanced control. It is necessary to ensure uninterrupted supply of gas, electricity and heat to the population of the city, to strengthen the prevention of household fires.

Deputy Mayor of the city Maulen Aymanbetov noted that the safety and life of people is in the first place. The consequences of any emergency in winter can be large-scale. The degree of protection directly depends on the readiness of all services - not only the Emergency Department, but also akimats, road services, industrial enterprises, etc.

The heads of the city departments of energy and infrastructure development, control and quality of the urban environment, who made a report, noted the level of provision of electricity and gas to the population. At the same time, it was emphasized that the population of the city consciously conclude a contract for in-house maintenance of gas equipment. The speakers also noted the need for further work on the installation of gas detectors, primarily in the homes of low-income and large families. The work of employees of the Department of Emergency Situations in this direction was noted.

The Chairman of the commission gave a number of instructions related to the safe passage of the heating season and the prevention of carbon monoxide and natural gas poisoning. It was also instructed to explain the rules of fire safety to the population more widely, to continue joint raids and yard rounds. It is necessary to help people from socially protected categories as much as possible with the installation of carbon monoxide sensors.
