A fire will start near you. If you have a fire extinguisher, this is a great success. However, this is only half the battle. It is not just the fact that the fire extinguisher works, but also the fact that you need to know how to use it, so that it effectively extinguishes the fire, without damaging the person. Read this text before you start fighting fire, because a difficult moment does not precede the instructions. First of all, find out the composition of the fireman – it is written on his body. The method of use depends on the composition. But any fire extinguisher you use, the general rule is: extinguish the fire itself, not its hearth. Keep the fire extinguisher upright: this way you will use the entire available stock of fire extinguishers. Do not touch the fire extinguisher with a wide handle: many fire extinguishers, especially carbon dioxide, can frostbite your hands during use.
Air-foam fire extinguisher
* Press the handle of the fire extinguisher.
* Keep in mind that you have 20-60 seconds to deactivate.
* If you are on the street, turn off the wind direction.
Powder
* Keep it as close to the fire as possible, but at a safe distance. Please note that the length of the stream is about 3 meters.
* Remove the plug and remove the nose.
* Turn the wide rod into the fire and press the handle of the fire extinguisher.
* If you do not turn off the street, ventilate the room immediately after switching off. Avoid the powder cloud, which is very harmful to breathing.
Carbon dioxide
* Stand 2 meters away from the fire.
* Point a wide ball at the fire.
* Remove the plug and remove the nose.
* Press the lever or fully open the locking device (models may vary).
* When the fire goes out, release the lever or close the valve.
