Troubles from pranks

Unfortunately, the issues of educating children with a sense of responsibility for pranks with fire rarely concern an adult. Children are surprisingly trusting. They know for sure that we, adults, will certainly protect them from troubles and misfortunes.

AND ARE WE really doing everything to justify such trust? No, we, of course, say: "Cross the street only at the green light," "Don't stick your finger in the socket," "Matches for children are not a toy." This is the reason for the misfortunes that are taking place. Is it possible with one standard phrase to pacify the natural interest of children at this age in everything new and unusual? Every day, every hour for a child is a discovery. Unfortunately, some of them become the last. For example, fire…

If you ask parents what you told children about fire safety rules, many will dismiss: "they will go to school – they will be taught there." Yes, they will be taught at school, but according to statistics, the largest number of children die in fires under the age of 5, that is, when they are under the supervision of their parents, or more precisely, without their supervision. With rare exceptions, only an extreme situation can make you think about the necessary precautions. But we appeal to those parents who are able to avoid the tragedy.

The peak of children's pranks with fire falls, as a rule, on holidays. This is the time when children, left to themselves, play with matches, burn bonfires, etc. All this often ends in trouble.

Fires that occur due to a child's prank with fire are, unfortunately, not a rare phenomenon. The finale of such fires can be very tragic.

Almost all children show an increased interest in fire, not fully realizing its potential danger, they are irresistibly attracted to this miracle of nature. At the age of 3 to 5 years, children in their games often repeat adults, imitating their actions, work. At this age, children want to learn and experience everything more quickly. The desire for independence is especially evident when children are left alone at home.

You can not be sure that, once alone, the child will not dare to play with a box of matches, will not want to set fire to paper, will not make a bonfire, which he once saw in the forest. There are cases when adults, due to various circumstances, are forced to leave children for some time without supervision. This is dangerous, especially if children stay in locked apartments or rooms. In case of fire, they will not be able to leave the dangerous room outside.

It is not uncommon for a prank to turn into hooliganism. For the sake of entertainment, the guys let burning "airplanes" from the roofs of houses and balconies, set fire to garbage or poplar fluff in the yard, without thinking at all what consequences such entertainment can lead to.

As a rule, parents are to blame for all these pranks, first of all, parents who leave children unattended in apartments, do not hide matches from them, do not control the behavior of children, do not follow their games, and sometimes, indulging children's whims, allow them to play with matches on their own, instruct young children to look after heated stoves, turn on electrical appliances.

What you need to do in order to avoid a fire from a child's prank with fire:

- tell children about fire-hazardous behavior;

- be an example in all situations related to compliance with fire safety rules;

- do not leave matches in a place accessible to children;

- do not instruct children to light stoves, gas stoves, turn on household appliances themselves;

- make sure that children do not light fires;

- when leaving home, do not leave young children unattended by adults;

- organize an interesting leisure time for your child.

Teach the correct actions in case of fire.

If a fire or a sign of gorenje (smoke, increased temperature, burning smell, etc.) is detected, a child of any age should immediately leave the room. To report a fire to adults or to the fire department by a single rescue phone number "101". As they say: "The forbidden fruit is sweet," therefore it is more useful to explain once again to the child about the danger lurking in a box of matches, a lighter, than to simply say: "It is impossible!". It is very important that children remember these tips. By personal example, teach children to comply with fire safety rules. Only by taking great care of our children will we be able to prevent fires from children's pranks with fire, save our home, property and the most precious thing – the life of a child.

Dear adults! Remember that in many ways children imitate you. Be extremely careful yourself in handling fire and explain to children what danger a prank with fire is. Do not forget that a child, left to himself, can involuntarily become the culprit of a fire.

Remember that your children's lives depend on you!
